Filomena Sabatelli

Filomena Sabatelli 89, of Binghamton went to be with the lord with her family by her side on July 7, 2017. She is predeceased by her Husband Luigi Sabatelli; Father Alfonso Masciarelli; Mother Marianna Centelli. She is survived by her daughter Josephine (Robert) Farkas of NJ, son Alfonso Sabatelli, daughter Luciana Sabatelli; granddaughter Stephanie (Anthony) Papacoda of CT; brother Domenico (Anna) Masciarelli; sister Felicetta Fiocco; special nephew Aldo Sabatelli; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Filomena belonged to St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton where she enjoyed making Pizze Fritte for the Church Bazaar. She had a great passion for making cookies for every Italian celebration and she enjoyed making homemade pasta for Italian dinners. Filomena loved her flower and vegetable garden. The family wishes to thank Lourdes Hospital ICU and the Bridgewater Nursing Home for their love and care. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the THOMAS J. SHEA funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904 from 4 until 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 9:30am. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Filomena’s name to the Food Pantry at St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
