Mary B. (Pickert) Knapp

Mary B. Knapp (Pickert), 88, of Binghamton passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at Susquehanna Nursing Home.  Mary was predeceased by her parents Charles and Hannah Pickert; her true love Claude I. Knapp; her siblings Beverly, Clare, Wanda, Ruth and Sonny.  She is survived by her sons Raymond (Sharon), James (Shari), Alan (Lisa); her grandchildren Misty, Matt, Nicole, Melissa, Tiera, Brad, Tim and Scott; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law Eleanor and Carolyn; also several nieces and nephews.   Mary retired from Sears in 1990.  A special thank you to Susquehanna Nursing Home for Mary’s wonderful care for the last 9 years.  Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21st from 4pm until 5pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY.  A Memorial Service will follow at 5pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the convience of the family in Chenango Valley Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice in Mary's memory.
