Sylvester Gibson Obituary

      Sylvester F. Gibson "Uncle Sam”, 76, passed away on February 4, 2018.  He is predeceased by his parents Anna and Charles Gibson, sister Mary Trasolini, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Kaye Gibson.   He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years Paula; beloved daughter Bernadette; son Ray (Barbara) Millard; sisters Joan Perez, Anna (Peanut) Fendick; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Faline and Wayne Howard; Aunt Mae Niggli; brother-in-law Henry Trasolini; lifelong friend James Pace; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Sam retired from Singer-Link and Giant Food Markets; he also worked at the Arena and Mets Stadium.   He loved life, especially his time at the casinos, going to shows, bowling; but most importantly spending time with his family. He loved everyone and everyone loved him.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 8:30am until 9:30am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton.  A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30am.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Arrangements are in the care of Albert J. DeMarco.
