Sylvester F. Gibson "Uncle Sam”, 76, passed away on February 4, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents Anna and Charles Gibson, sister Mary Trasolini, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Kaye Gibson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years Paula; beloved daughter Bernadette; son Ray (Barbara) Millard; sisters Joan Perez, Anna (Peanut) Fendick; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Faline and Wayne Howard; Aunt Mae Niggli; brother-in-law Henry Trasolini; lifelong friend James Pace; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sam retired from Singer-Link and Giant Food Markets; he also worked at the Arena and Mets Stadium. He loved life, especially his time at the casinos, going to shows, bowling; but most importantly spending time with his family. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. Visitation will be held on Monday from 8:30am until 9:30am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton. A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
