Welcome to the memorial page for

Yolanda Pellicciotti

August 20, 2017

Yolanda Pellicciotti, 93, the last born to Albert and Mary Pellicciotti and the last to pass, died peacefully at Bridgewater Nursing and Rehab in Binghamton, August 20, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents; her stepmother, Carmela Pellicciotti; brothers, Edward (wife, Marie DiAngelo) and Quirino Pellicciotti; and sisters, Eleanor Lobevero (husband Richard) and Avalina DiAngelo (husband, Ralph). She is survived by her nephews, Albert & Carol Pellicciotti, Edward Pellicciotti, Robert Pellicciotti & Dolores Driscoll Pellicciotti, Richard & Mary Lobevero and niece Angela & Nick Wowk; several great-nephews and great-nieces, and her dearest friend since childhood, Marie De Ritis. Known to friends and family members as Yo and to her nieces and nephews as Aunt Yondie, she loved to be around the chidren in the family because of her youthful attitude and sense of humor - especially her mild practical jokes. Just like the kids, she had a ready laugh and was always eager to have some fun with them. She was an avid movie-goer, often treating one of her young nephews to an evening movie and a sundae afterwards. Her favorite movies were musicals which would usually result in her promptly purchasing the record album. It elated her to actually be involved in a musical performed by the Marian Players, an amateur church-affiliated group.
Yolanda was a member of the Women's Abruzzese Club and St. Mary's Golden Age. She was a volunteer with St. Mary's Bereavement, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), and General Hospital where she voluntered over 2,000 hours. The family would like to thank the Bridgewater Center  for Rehabilitation and Nursing for their considerate and compassionate care over the past two years. Special thanks to the 3rd floor staff who made our Aunt's last days as pleasant and comfortable as possible. At the family's request, there will be no calling hours.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30am on Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Please consider donations in Yolanda's memory to The Danielle House, 160 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905.
