Peter E. Stoeckel

Peter E. Stoeckel, born on July 2, 1948, in Binghamton, New York, passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 75. He served honorably in the US Navy for 27 years, demonstrating his dedication to his country. Peter shared 51 years of marriage with Melania Taroc Stoeckel and leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment, raising two children, Susan Stoeckel Castillon and Steve E Stoeckel.

His devotion extended to his grandchildren, six from his son Steve and two from his daughter Susan. Peter was not only a family man but also a skilled and hardworking individual. He fulfilled a promise to his wife by building their home, showcasing his talent and dedication to his loved ones.

Peter's family was a central part of his life. He was the son of George and Helen Stoeckel, and he shared a special bond with his sister Jeanne, who is married to Rick Armentrout. Additionally, he cherished his relationships with his brothers, Dan, Mark, George Jr., William, James, and Frank Stoeckel.

His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will forever be cherished. Peter's kindness, hard work, and talent will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As he journeys to his eternal rest, his loved ones find solace in the belief that he is reunited with his creator, free from pain. Rest in peace, Peter E. Stoeckel, knowing that your legacy of love and dedication lives on.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton.  A Funeral Service will follow at 10:30am.
