Alene C. (Inman) McAvoy

Alene McAvoy passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord February 4, 2018.  She is survived by her sons John McAvoy, Robert McAvoy, Thomas McAvoy; her daughters Connie McAvoy and Kathleen McAvoy Brash.  Also her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and too many wonderful friends to count.   Her outward beauty was obvious.  The beauty of her heart is testimony to how many loved her.  She always put the needs of other first.  One of her favorite past times was listening to the birds as she sat on her porch.  Our mom was a blessing to all of us and will be missed by everyone who loved her.  Now she's a blessing to the residents of Heaven.  She was 91 years young.  The family wished to thank the nursed and aides at Elizabeth Church Manor for the compassionate care she received.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8th from 5pm to 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton, NY.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30am at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
