Andrew "Joe" Guinane

Joe peacefully passed away on November 7, 2018.  He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Mae Guinane;  brother and three sisters.  Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia; his three children, daughters; Carol (Michael) Billi; Karen (Frank) Lyke and son: Andrew (Christina) Guinane.  Additionally, he had three grandchildren with whom he enjoyed spending time: Jennifer, Tyler, and Lauren; he is lovingly remembered by his sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Hasley, and brother-in-law Herb (Mary) Corser; many nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.   Throughout his career Joe worked for several companies in freight transportation and truck traffic management and retired from NYSEG in 1996.  When not working, he favored being active and social.  Joe was relaxed, generous, and easy-going, which made everyone enjoy being in his presence.  He will be greatly missed.  The family would like to thank all the nurses, aides and staff at Vestal Park for the care given to Joe.   Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 12 Noon until 2pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton, NY 13904.  A Graveside Service at St. Augustine Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.  As an expression of sympathy for Joe please consider the simple gift of making new memories with family, or friends.
