Cynthia "Jane" Hawkins

Cynthia “Jane” Hawkins was born on August 28, 1941 and went home to be with Jesus on August 26, 2017. She was predeceased by her daughter Theresa Kaye Hawkins. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Russ Hawkins; son Dean Hawkins and his wife Vikki and their four children; daughter Amy Creery and her husband Nate and their two children; daughter Michelle Hawkins and her two children. She was a Physical education teacher at the Sacandaga Elementary school in Scotia NY and she was bookkeeper for the Oneonta YMCA and The Community Gospel Church. She enjoyed quilting and traveled to many quilt shows over the years. She was a very compassionate woman and lived for her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the THOMAS J. SHEA Funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904 from 4 until 6pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11am. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
