Filomena Stenta, 86, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2018. She is predeceased by her parents Donato and Chiara D’Angelo; brother Gregorio D’Angelo; son-in-law Giustino Rubicondo; brother-in-law Antonio DeSanctis. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Egidio; children Antonio (Kathleen) Stenta, Lina Rubicondo; grandchildren Antonio Jr. (Keri) Stenta, Kimberly (Matt) Naro, Andrea Stenta, Luciana (Billy Deal) Rubicondo, Fausto Rubicondo; Stefania Rubicondo, Fabio Rubicondo; great grandchildren Landon, Carson, Bella, Luca, and Lucas; sister Lucia DeSanctis; sister-in-law Yolanda D’Angelo; many relatives from Italy; nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved gardening, crocheting, making blankets for every child and grandchildren, baking, making homemade sauce and shopping. A special thank you to the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for the excellent care. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 4pm until 7pm at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Mass will be at 9:30am on Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601 in Filomena’s memory.
