Jessica L. Palmieri

Jessica Palmieri, 31 years old, left us too soon due to complications from a brief illness on September 30, 2017.  She was a brilliant, funny, and kind soul with an infectious smile.  She is predeceased by her grandparents Armando and Felicia Palmieri and Gregory and Margaret Bogosta.  She is survived by her parents, Anthony and Beth Palmieri, who were in awe of her courage and always stood by her side.  She was an amazing sibling and best friend to Andrea Palmieri Caoili (Kevin Caoili), and Vincent Palmieri and had great love for Layla and Owen Caoili who adored their Aunt Jess.  Jessica is also survived by a family of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her and brought her joy and strength.  Jess shared her courage unconditionally and her amazing spirit shined through most when she was with the people she loved.  Jessica graduated from Chenango Valley High School in 2004 then attended Seton Hall University.  She taught English for many years in South Korea.  Recently she worked at Community Options.   Jessica's friends are countless and impossible to list.  The love and support they have shown to her and her family is evidence of true friendship.  Thank you to her angels, Mary and Kyle Ann, who spent countless hours crafting, rubbing her feet and keeping her spirits positive.  Thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Fairview Home; you made her feel safe, happy, and gave her hope.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton, NY 13904.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 9:30am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Memorial Donations can be made to Catholic Charities Food Pantry, 100 Main St., Binghamton, NY 13905 or St. Mary's Soup Kitchen 37 Fayette St., Binghamton, NY 13901.
