Joan A. Reno

 Joan A. Reno, age 83 of Binghamton, NY, formerly of Greene, NY, passed away on November 10, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Kathryn Shoemaker and by her husbands, Churchill Proper, Giancarlo Acquarelli and Gordon Reno.  She is survived by her children; Cynthia B. Eddy, Kathryn (Verne) Benson, Mark (Pam) Proper, and Peter Desmond, grandchildren; Marc (April) and Nicholas (Jennifer) Eddy, Brian (Rachel) and Steven (Ashley) Benson, Kia and Shyla Proper, Peter Jr.(Jessica) and Branden Desmond, eleven great grandchildren, a sister Carol (Bud) Ward, and several cousins. She was a homemaker, and family caregiver that enjoyed sewing and quilting, as well as car rides on country roads. She was a member of the Triangle Quilt Guild and the Chenango Forks Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Her family would like to thank the staff of Elizabeth Church Manor for the excellent care and support during her stay there. They would also like to thank her friend Jill Phelps, her "Unclub" and the members of the Triangle Quilt Guild, who continued to include her even when she could no longer participate. A Memorial Service and burial at the Port Crane cemetery will be held at a later date.
