Joseph Kapral Jr.

Joseph M. Kapral Jr. of Albion, NY, an avid fisherman, suddenly and tragically passed away while fishing on the Susquehanna River in Ouaquaga, NY, while pursing his favorite pastime at his favorite location on August 9, 2017. He leaves behing his wife, Maria Bracaglia Kapral and his precious daughter, Enrica Maria; his parents Joseph Sr. and Jane Kapral of Kirkwood, NY. He is survived by two sisters, Rebecca (Scott) Somers of Vestal and Catherine (Dave Coletta) Eberly of Port Crane; two brothers Paul (Rochelle Santalucia) Kapral of Kirkwood and Stephen (Tammy De Blieck) Kapral of Colorado Springs, CO. He leaves behind his lifelong friend, hunting and fishing buddy, who was a third brother, Robert Kundrata and his wife Marilyn. Other surviviors are his in-laws Sebastiano and Pasqualina Bracaglia, Nanci (Frank) Carney, along with nephews and nieces Dennis, Jason, Joby and Nicholas Eberly, Andrew, Alexander and Shaina Kapral, John Bawi and Mikayla, Marco Carney; maternal Aunt June Leo and many cousins. Joe was born September 9, 1959 in Johnson City, NY and graduated from Windsor High School. He, along with his friend Bob, moved to the Rochester area to work for Kodak and most recently for Bausch and Lomb in Rochester, NY. But his retirment dream was to move back ot Windsor/Kirkwood area, put a house on the river, fish and hunt. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at the THOMAS J. SHEA Fuenral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904 from 4 until 6pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 6pm. Burial will be private for family.
