Leona Woodmansee

Leona M. Woodmansee 91, of Windsor, passed away on February 25, 2018. She is predeceased husband George F. Woodmansee; parents Floyd and Agnes Ware; brother Joseph Ware.  She is survived by her daughters Georgia Woodmansee and Susan (Sid) Miller. She is also survived by dear friends Paul and Susan Mondolfi, Gloria Chamberlin and her special niece and nephew Lucy and Jack Glover. She is also survived by her sisters Mary (Michael) Zanghi, Joan Burke, Betty Ware; and brother James Ware; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.  She retired from Hex Diner where she worked as a manager for many years. During her retirement and before losing her vision, she made and sold hand smocked children’s dresses at local craft fairs. A special thank you to the staff at Hilltop’s Assisted Living Center and Lourdes Hospital ICU/PCU for their extraordinary care. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2018 at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904 from 12pm until 1pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 1pm with Rev. Gary Doupe officiating. Burial will be in Lanesboro Cemetery during the spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the National Eye Research Center or  the National Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation in Leona’s memory.
