Mabel Kocan

Mabel M. Kocan (Pompeii) 98, of Binghamton, passed away after a short illness July 12, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas Kocan; son Robert Kocan and parents Antonio and Marguerite; siblings Mary (Nicholas) Parisella, Peter (Jane) Pompeii, William (Vera) Pompeii, Frances (John) Williams, Theresa (Frank) Filetto; sister in-law Helen Pompeii; brother in-law Peter Kocan. She is survived by her son Nicholas Kocan; granddaughters Denise and Darcie Kocan: brother Louis Pompeii; 14 nieces and nephews and their families. Mabel lived a long independent life, all the way until the end and will be dearly missed by all. The family wishes to thank the staff of 1 Ross at Lourdes Hospital for their loving care. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:30am Saturday at the THOMAS J. SHEA Funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
