Mary Lou Regulski Obituary

Mary Lou Regulski, 81 of Binghamton N.Y., ascended into Heaven on Eagles Wings May 1 2018 at Community Medical Center in Toms River NJ, surrounded by her loving family. Our mother lived her life her way, and her final thoughts were of her family and friends as she closed her eyes.  She was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 45 years Edward, on August 7, 2011; her brothers Donald and James Andrus.  She is survived by her 3 loving sons, John and Christine Sejan of Vestal NY, Peter Regulski of Broomfield CO, and Dr. Matthew and Michelle Regulski of Manahawkin NJ.  Her wonderful grandchildren which brought her great joy, Adelaide and Samuel Sejan, Maya, Emma, and Molly Regulski.  Her brothers John Andrus of Conklin NY, and Jerry and Joyce Andrus of Port Crane NY.  She also loved very much the Balko family of Manahawkin NJ and held them very dear in her heart.  She was a graduate of Binghamton North High School, which she loved so much.  She spent most of her adult life working in the Binghamton City School District. She enjoyed her time there immensely and made so many wonderful friends and lasting friendships.  Our mother was a long times resident of the East Side. She loved living there and all of the people as well.  That is why she was so honored and humbled to serve on the city council and was president as well. This gave her great joy in serving the people of the East Side and the city.  Our mother, as well as our father, were also some of the founding members of the East Side Youth Association. This gave her great satisfaction and purpose to know she was helping to instill virtue and ideals on the children of the East Side.  She was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton.  This parish gave her great strength, courage, and peace right to the very end.   Our mother was involved in many charities and service groups. So many that is caused my father to remark,” if I had a dime for every charity she was involved in, I would be a rich man.”  She did this as she thought it was her duty to help those less fortunate than herself.  Our family would like to express our eternal gratitude to Dominique and Tom McBride, Patrick Lomonaco, Kathy and Pete Fitzpatrick. Your kindness and devotion to helping our mother we shall never forget. She loved you all so very much, and we are so grateful for you.  Our mother would like all of you to know that she will love and miss you all, and she will see you on the other side in the kingdom of our loving god.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton, NY 13904.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30am on Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton.  Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.   In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the East Side Youth Association in Mary Lou’s memory.
