Richard J. Yudin

January 17, 1933 ~ August 20, 2017 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Richard “Dick” Yudin, 84, of Binghamton peacefully went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2017 at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. He is predeceased by his parents Stephen and Marjorie Yudin; son Thomas Yudin; and sister Joyce Fitz.  He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years Donna (Bolson) Yudin; children Carolyn (Michael) Goetz, Maureen (Charlie) Cartee, Michael Yudin, Diane (Jeff) Vales, Janice (Dan) Jackson; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister Barbara Shores; Aunt Colette Grace; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He graduated from Central High School, served in the US Army during the Korean War and worked at the Binghamton Press for over 40 years.  Dick was an avid gardener and golfer, volunteered at the Knights of Columbus and was active in St. Paul’s Church and many of their activities.  He was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan.  Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by all.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 4pm until 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30am at St. Paul’s Church in Binghamton.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Church 15 Doubleday St., Binghamton, NY 13901 or Mercy House 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
