Robin Z. Maney

Robin Marie (Zurn) Maney died July 11, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents Howard and Florence Zurn.  She leaves her husband of 56 years Richard Maney; her children Stephen (Jessica) Maney, Maria (Jamie) Lupole, and Joel (Marisa) Maney.  Also surviving "Amah" (as her grandchildren called her) are grandsons Ian, Padraig and Aidan Lupole; granddaughters Kazmira Maney and Emma Maney.  Her grandchildren helped cheer her up and she loved them very much.  She is also survived by her brothers Roger Zurn and H. Jeffrey (Vickie) Zurn.  Robin graduated from Blue Ridge High School and went on to attain a Registered Nurse degree from Wilson Memorial Hospital of Nursing.  Robin was employed for 40 years as an R.N. at Binghamton Psychiatric Center, retiring in 2000.  Robin loved to spend time tending her flower gardens, as well as reading mystery novels (sometimes finishing a book in a day).  She is also survived by very special friends Peggy, Pat and Glenda and of course Robin's cat Penny.  Funeral arrangements are made by Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc.  Honoring Robin's wishes there will be no calling hours.  At a later date, the immediate family will celebrate her exceptional life.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice, in Robin's name.
