It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our loving father on March 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a prime example of a fighting Irish man to the end. He is predeceased by his mother Helen and father Joseph; brother Joseph. He is survived by wife Linda; children Thomas (Sandra) Normile Jr., Maripat Quain, Kevin (Shawn) Normile, Erin Maureen Normile, Michelle Normile Bidwell, Brian Normile, Kathleen and Stan Krowiak; grandchildren Brittany, Caitlin, Brendon, Nathan, Jake, Rob, Ryan, Josh, Rebecca, Corey, Erin and Tommy; great grandchildren that he adored and they lovingly referred to him as Pop-Pop Sidney, Brooklyn, Connor, Makenna, Adriana and Noah; siblings Mary Fehrman, James (Donna) Normile, Catherine Lawrence; friend and mother of his children Mary Yager and his special friend Jason Zareski. Tom retired from the Teamsters Local Union 693. He was very proud of his Catholic Faith and Irish Heritage; an avid NY Yankee, Giants and Notre Dame fan. Cherished his vacations with his family to Anna Maria Island in Florida and loved sitting on his front porch chatting with his neighbors. Special thanks to the 5th floor staff at Wilson Hospital for compassionate care. We lost the happiest, kindest and best buddy in the world. A gentle soul who will be missed dearly. "Love you, More." Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2017 from 5pm until 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 23rd at 9:30am at ST. Paul’s Church in Binghamton. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or autismspeaks.org. Arrangements are in the care of Albert J. DeMarco.
