Anna F. Hoffmaster (age 94) passed away peacefully with her four daughters by her side on Monday, June 16th, 2025. Anna is now with the Lord in heaven alongside Clarence, her husband of 62 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Barnett and Mary Fairchild, siblings Ruth, Helen, Caroline, Samuel and Barnett Jr, and son-in-law Timothy Giblin. She is survived by four daughters, Diane and Richard Schwarz, Sandra Giblin, Nancy and Joseph Griswold, Wendy and Michael Scott. Anna has ten grandchildren, Michael and wife Kristin Schwarz, Breanna and husband Joseph Ryder, Adam and wife Kristin Giblin, Daniel Giblin, Nicholas Griswold, Matthew and wife Alyssa Griswold, Kimberlee and husband Corey Katusha, Lucas Scott, Samantha Scott, and Dominic Scott. Also, great-grandchildren Ryan and Audrey Schwarz, Scarlett and Evangelene Katusha, Gemma Griswold and one great-grandson Baby Giblin, arriving soon.
Anna was a member of the Chenango Bridge First United Methodist Church, and Kattelville Seniors. She was a homemaker for many years before working alongside her husband in his business. Anna enjoyed playing cards and domino games with her friends and family, going out for breakfast and her many winters in St. Augustine with Clarence. She took pride in the vegetables she grew in her garden each summer. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home for their kindness, dedication and support to our mother.
A memorial service will be held at Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton, NY 13904. The family will receive friends on Sunday June 22, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00p.m. with a private family service to follow. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Anna Hoffmaster can be sent to the Good Shepherd Communities Foundation at 32 Village Drive, Endwell, NY 13760.
