Anna Nguyen Thi Su
Anna Nguyen Thi Su passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born in Quảng Ngãi, Vietnam, where she was surrounded by the family and the homeland she loved, and later settled in the countryside of Long Khánh, Đồng Nai. Leaving behind all that she knew and her immediate family, she immigrated to the United States in search of a brighter future for her children.
Su was a survivor in the truest sense. Resilient, strong, and selfless, she carried the weight of starting over in a new country and turned it into a foundation of love and opportunity for those who came after her. She made her home in Binghamton and Cortland, New York, where her quiet strength touched everyone around her.
She was the matriarch, heart, and foundation of her family. The dream she could not reach for herself, she made real for her children and grandchildren through her sacrifice. She is survived by her loving husband, Mai Dang; her eight children; and her eighteen grandchildren.
Though she has passed, the life she fought to build endures in every member of the family she loved so deeply. Her courage will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Monday, July 6, 2026. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Due to the holiday weekend flowers cannot be delivered on Sunday, July 5th. Any flower orders would have to be delivered on Monday to the church.
