Our loving daughter, sister, mother and Yaya Anna went peacefully to be with the Lord on June 12, 2025 following a brief illness. She was born in Binghamton, NY on October 12, 1953 and resided in the surrounding area all of her life.
Anna’s family was the most important part of her heart. Anna was blessed to overcome many of the adversities that she often faced throughout her life. She enjoyed many trips to her parent’s home in Michigan, especially for the annual 4th of July party. There, Anna shared in laughter, some tears and memory making around the cozy red table with family, special cousins and friends. She was awarded “ The Affordable Housing Resident of the Year” for her dedication and excellent work ethic making a better life for herself. Anna also received her Associates Degree and was then working towards her Bachelor of Arts Degree. While at Binghamton University, she was hired fulltime at Lakeview Rehab and Residential Facility for Adults in Ithaca, NY. Anna's empathy and patience helped her excel at her job, as she was loved by both coworkers and residents alike. She made close longtime friends at her home in Endicott where her presence will be missed.
There she spend most of her time with her sister and friends. She had special times with her granddaughter Abby, shopping and playing. Anna had a very close unique bond with her great nephew Jude.
Anna is survived by her parents Virginia and George Ulmer; brothers Stefan, Christian (Louise); sisters Katina (Glen), Linda (Roy), Helen (Craig) and Nancy (Johnny); sons Timothy (Jo-Ann), James (Michaela); granddaughter Abby; grandson Nolan and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father and his wife Peter and Lu Sezenias.
All of the prayers and many ways of support were felt by Anna and her loved ones.
Anna’s family would like to thank all staff at Bridgewater Rehab and Nursing Home for their loving kindness and respectful care in helping to make such a difficult time for Anna and family feel safe and loved.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. To honor Anna's memory please be kind to one another.
