Rarely does death and joy share the same moment. On Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the age of 100 the joy of the well lived life of Anna (Bunnie) Sternik Warren reached its finale. Born on January 25, 1920, She managed to avoid broken bones and sickness including cancer… only to succumb to complications from Covid 19.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother, sister and aunt of an extended family. Including her husband Percy she was predeceased by her daughters Patricia and Roberta (Bobbie) Griffis. She is survived by three sisters, Maria Ligas, Joanne Chapuk and Irene and Bill Phillips. Also by her daughters Sharon Drake, Kathleen Frobel Walser, Lorraine Springsteen and Janice Howell and husband Richard. She was well loved by thirty close friends and family; Rene, Joe, Brittany, Sydney, Chris, Tim, Shelly, Ashley, Braxton, Owen, Betsy, Mike, Charlie, Nicolas, Mike, Susan, Joe, Mel, McKenzie, Terry, Cate, Natalie, Todd, Brandon, Dakota, Melinda, Dan, Rylee, Bella and her hundred year old bestie friend Betty. These people always brought a smile to her face. Bunnie loved bowling, watching the Yankees, weekly card games with her sisters, weekly trips to Tioga Downs and family gatherings.
At the time of her hundredth birthday party she told us she was going to hide under her bed, but when she go to her party, she put on her 100yr sash and wanted to know where her tiara was! She was a feisty, unique lady until the end.
