Our beloved mother Anne Carroll passed away peacefully at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital on November 8th, 2024, in Binghamton. She was 95 years old. She was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on February 14th, 1929 to John (Jack) and Rose (Rosie) McAuley. She was one of six children that are now all reunited. She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Rosie, her husband John F Carroll, her sister Molly, Eileen and little Rosie, who died at age 5, and her brothers, Jackie and Jim. She survived by the loves of her life, her two children, Rosemary Carroll of Binghamton, NY, and George (Marianne) Carroll of Atlanta, GA. She leaves behind three grandchildren Shannon (Josh) Ogulewicz, Caitlin (John) Montone and Christopher (Taylor) Carroll. Six great grandchildren, Jack, Austin, Gia, Reese, Hayes and Scotty as well as many nieces and nephews here and abroad. Special sister-in-law Shirley Panetti. Anne worked at many jobs in Binghamton and retired from the Binghamton School District. She was loving and kind and caring and always knew what to say with that Irish accent that never left her. She deeply loved America and all it provided her. But it was her life growing up in Belfast that shaped who she was, and she never forgot it. Thank you to all the healthcare workers throughout the many years for their care and kindness to our mother. Please say a prayer to Saint Anthony for all those in need that he ease the pain and sorrow. Funeral arrangements are by the Thomas J Shea Funeral Home, 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY.
