Anthony F. Fiala, Sr. 82, Endwell, NY passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 8, 2023.   He is predeceased by his Mother Mary Fiala; Special Uncle Joe (Betty) Fiala; Sisters-in-Law Angie (Edward) Schleider, Frances (Paul) Kochis; Brothers-In-Law Reno (Peggie) Testani, Richard (Betty) Testani, and Frank DiStefano.
  He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years,  Barbara J. Fiala of Endwell, NY; Sons Anthony Fiala, Jr. Endwell, NY, V. James (MaryLou) Fiala, Scranton, Pa.; Grandsons Dr. Nicholas Fiala, Philadelphia, Pa., Nathan Fiala, Scranton, Pa.; Brothers-In-Law Nicholas (JoAnn) Testani, Norwich, NY, Anthony (Marge) Testani, Binghamton, NY, Arthur (Josie) Testani, San Juan Bautista, Calf.; Sister-In-Law Anna (Testani) DiStefano, Binghamton, NY; and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tony served in the US Army during Vietnam War 1964-65. He worked at GAF/Ansco and was Union President/Steward Machinist with over 35 years of service; also Hayworth Press/Shipping and Receiving for over 12 years.
He was Binghamton Democratic 1st Ward Chairman and Committee person; member of Sons of Italy Lodge 487 and Past President with over 45 years of service. A Founding member of the annual Sons of Italy/Broome Developmental Christmas Party; a Lifelong Yankee Fan; the Master of the Story and Joke.   Tony loved all the years of hunting with his nephews and brothers-in-laws and was a dedicated member to Tioga Tuesday! His Motto: Family before work and he never missed any of his sons Seton baseball or football games. 
The family extends its deepest gratitude to all the staff at Lourdes Hospital that you have given “Mr. Baseball”.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY. The Sons of Italy Lodge 487 of Binghamton will have a prayer service at 6:30pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton.  Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors.   Gifts in memory of Tony can be made to the SUNY Broome Foundation to support the on-campus childcare program (The B.C. Center). Donations to: SUNY Broome Foundation/PO Box 1017/Binghamton, NY 13902-1017. Arrangements are in the care of Albert J. DeMarco.
