Bernadine M. (Olanovich) Connors

Bernadine M. Connors, 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, with family members at her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Gabriel and Edna (Nowakowski) Olanovich, her brother Jerome Olanovich. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John J Connors, their children John G. (Debby) Connors, Debora M. (Dane) Gist, Michael G. (Tammy) Connors, and Kathleen M. (Charles) Dunn. Bernadine is also survived by her grandchildren: Patrick (Yeanke) Connors, Heather (Jordan) Charnetsky, Grace and Noah Gist, Chelsea and Emma Connors, Charles, Keira and Caden Dunn, Todd (Maureen) Noyes, Andrea (Larry) Noyes, and Nicole (Chris) Audette and great grandchildren. Bernadine was born and raised in Minooka, Scranton, PA. and was a graduate of South Catholic High School. She worked at South Catholic and volunteered with her parish church, school, and community in Minooka. In Binghamton, she was an active member of Sts. John and Andrew Altar and Rosary Society, the Society of Saint Therese, and the Golden Agers.  She was a volunteer at St. John the Evangelist Grade School and the Loaves and Fishes Pantry. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family, taking great joy celebrating holidays, birthdays, marriages, and graduations.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 30th, 11 AM at Sts. John and Andrew Church, 1268 Vestal Ave. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 until the time of the mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to The Loaves and Fishes Pantry Sts. John and Andrew Church, 1268 Vestal Ave. Binghamton, NY 13903. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring and generous staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for the care that they showed to Bernadine.
