Bernard M. O'Neil

Bernard M. O’Neil, 88, of Hallstead, PA (formerly from Stratmill Road, Binghamton, NY), loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, died peacefully at the home he built for his family on June 7, 2023. He is predeceased by his wife, Joan O’Neil (September 2022). Also predeceased by his mother and father, John and Mary O’Neil, brothers Arthur, Paul, Joe, Jack, Frank, Tom, Bill, Bob, and sister Ann O’Neil. He is survived by daughters, Colleen (James) Fancher, Laura (David) Hack, grandchildren, Nicholas Visser, Camille (Cody) Vincent, Corey and Kaitlin Wallace. Great grandchildren, Bernard Visser, Leo Visser, Peyton Vincent & Addison Vincent. Sisterin-law Jeanne Delgado, nieces and nephew, Dena Delgado (Troy) Brown, Kristena Delgado (Jay) Schwartz, Jim and Rose O’Neil.

He was employed by AT&T and NY Telephone for 32 years (retired 1987). He served in the US Army and was a lifetime parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Kirkwood, NY.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 10:00-11:00am at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Kirkwood, NY, with a Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
