Brenda D. (Spencer) Taylor

Brenda D. Taylor, 61, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on June 3, 2022.  She is predeceased by her father Richard P. Spencer.  She is survived by her loving husband Michael J. Taylor; her mother Dawn Spencer; siblings Richard “Rick” N. Spencer, Jeffery (Mary) Spencer, Dale A. (Korin) Spencer; In laws Caleb and Mary Louise Taylor; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Michele (Anthony) Ferrigno, James D. (Candice ) Taylor; nieces and nephews Christopher and Tyler Spencer, Meghan Deutsch, Abby Hernley, Chelsea Taylor, Hannah Cashman, Jessica Petrucci, Riley Spencer, Caleb and Jacob Taylor, Anthony Ferrigno;  and childhood friend Kathy Spencer.

Brenda worked in the Dietary Dept. of Lourdes Hospital for many years. Brenda finished up her career at the Children’s Home where she was a cook in a group home and impacted many children lives during the 19 years she was employed there.   She had an infectious laugh, was an avid sports fan, loved the NY Yankees and her favorite players Alex Rodriguez and LeBron James.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at Fairview United Methodist Church, 254 Robinson St. Binghamton.  Burial will be private.
