Brendan Morris, 33, passed away on April 15, 2026, after a long battle with severe asthma, which ultimately took a quiet toll on his heart. While his time here feels far too short, the impact he made on those around him will endure for a lifetime.
Brendan was a graduate of Windsor High School and Evertech Academy and later returned to BOCES, where he became certified in both manufacturing and construction welding—skills he took pride in and worked hard to achieve.
Brendan was a person of deep curiosity and remarkable intellect. He had a lifelong passion for history, with an uncanny ability to recall even the most obscure facts and stories, often surprising those around him with his knowledge. Whether discussing world events from centuries past or sharing a perfectly timed piece of trivia, Brendan had a way of making history feel alive.
He was also a devoted fan of the University of Michigan and the NY Giants, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his teams. Music was another of his great loves. Brendan had a natural gift, he could hear a song just a few times and then pick up a guitar and play it with striking accuracy, as if the music had always lived within him.
Some of Brendan’s happiest times were spent during summers in New Jersey with his Aunt Deirdre, Uncle Tom, Tatiana and his closest cousin, Tyler, who was his best friend and more like a brother to him. He also cherished trips to Michigan with his dad for Morris family reunions, karate tournaments, family vacations, camping and a recent trip to Busch Gardens. Above all, nothing made him happier than becoming a father to his daughter, Delilah. He was incredibly proud to be her dad—he spoke about her always, carried that pride in everything he did, and saw fatherhood as the greatest gift of his life.
Brendan will be remembered for his big heart, his quick wit, and his laugh. He loved deeply and fully, and those who knew him felt that love.
He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Morris; his grandfather, Mickey Oakes; and his grandparents, Jack and Virginia Morris.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Delilah; his mother, Stacey Morris; his sister, Caela Morris Whetsell (Brendan); his grandmother, Suellen Ambrose; his cherished nieces, Hanna, Rowan, and Riley; Delilah’s mother, Alicia Luchaco, the love of his life; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will carry his memory forward.
Brendan’s life was one of love, resilience, and connection. Though he is gone too soon, the stories he shared, the music he played, and the love he gave—especially to Delilah—will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him. He is already so deeply missed, and that absence is felt in countless moments each day.
