Carl J. Lanuti

Carl J. Lanuti, of Endwell, NY, passed away October 11, 2024 and is now reunited with his beloved wife, Mary. Carl is survived by his children Dominick (Kara) Lanuti, Gina (Cleto) Fante and Teresa (James) Savich; 5 grandchildren, Mia Lanuti, Riccardo and Matteo Fante, Gemma and Leonardo Savich; his sister Patricia McAvoy; brother Michael Lanuti; in-laws Suzanne DiLella (Judy Fortunato) and Jude (Tina) DiLella; nephew Matthew (Marci) McAvoy and niece Kelly (Mohamed) Hassan that he loved like his own children; and a large, very close extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Frances Lanuti, In-laws Dominic and Mary DiLella, and his brother-in-law William McAvoy. 
Carl was born October 19, 1950 in Binghamton, NY and graduated from Binghamton North High School. He received his BS in Biology from St. John Fisher College and continued his education with an MBA from Binghamton University. He began his professional career at Universal Instruments where he met the love of his life, Mary. He then went to work at IBM and had an incredibly successful tenure as a Project Manager. The hallmark being the multiple U.S. Patents he was granted and loved talking about. In retirement, he would always have ‘projects’ around the house, kept busy with his gardens, and enjoyed trips to see his kids, which he said was always his greatest achievement. 
Carl loved life and lived for his family. He selflessly cared for his wife, Mary, through many years of illness and remained her pillar of strength and love. He was always helping others and ensuring they were taken care of before himself. In the spirit of his kindness, we ask in lieu of flowers, to please consider donating to your favorite charity in his memory.
Funeral services will be held Friday October 18th at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Endicott with visiting hours starting at 9 am followed by mass at 11 am. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City immediately following.
