Charles Hammitt Obituary

Charles Ivan Hammitt passed away peacefully at home May 18, 2023 with his family by his side. Charles was born December 24, 1942. Graduated North high school and served in the army reserves. He was a lifetime member of the carpenters union, enjoyed his free time hunting and fishing as well as building things in his garage. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of the outdoors.

Charles was predeceased by his parents — Jack, (Rose) Ruth, as well as his brothers Ronnie and John Hammitt. He is survived by his loving wife Katherine (Kitty), his son Jeffery Hammitt, daughter in law Lori, daughter Kristie Coleman, son Joseph Mariani and daughter in law Dr. Susan Strickler, 3 beautiful grandchildren, Corrie Brundage, Allison and Kyle Hammitt, brother Thomas, sister Ruth, as well as many nieces and nephews.
