Charles Herrle Obituary

Charles (Charlie) W. Herrle, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2021 with his loving wife by his side at the age of 71.  He was predeceased by his mother Betty Slate and step-father Richard Slate, Father, Michael Herrle and step-mother Florence Herrle and Brother Joseph Herrilka.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rosetta (Rossi) Herrle and his son Charles (Chuck) Herrle.  He is also survived by a sister, Mary (John) Choynowski, brothers, Michael (Linda) Herrle and Matthew (Jackie) Herrle.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Charles was a long term employee of Sheltered Workshop where he met the love of his life Rosetta.   Charlie was a devoted and kind man who had had no ill will to say about anyone.  He was born with a disability that never slowed him or restricted anything he did in his life.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 27, 2021, from 8:30am until 9:30am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton, NY, corner of Fayette St. and Court St. A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Southern Tier Independence Center or a charity of one’s choice in Charlie’s memory.
