Charles R. Miller, 79, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at home on April 28, 2025, of natural causes. Charles is survived by his wife, Judith (Bushnell) Miller; his children, Robert (Jody) C. Miller, Michael (Kristina) A. Miller, and Tracy (John) Maguire; his grandchildren Daniel (Brittany) Miller, Colton Miller, Garrett (Becky) Miller, Kaden Miller, Fiona Maguire, Ava Maguire, and Keira Maguire; great-grandchildren Avery Miller and Aiden Miller; siblings Cynthia (William) Hunt and Merelyn Rogers, and many nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Meredeth (Renshaw) Miller, stepmother, Dorothy (Hayes) Miller, brother and sister-in law, Albert and Judy Miller, and brother-in-law Kenneth Bennett. Charles was born August 27, 1945, in East Orange, New Jersey, the son of Albert and Meredeth (Renshaw) Miller. Charles graduated from Vestal High School in 1963, then went on to the State University of New York - Canton, earning a degree in construction technology. Charles worked as a draftsman and project manager at Cives Steel in Conklin, NY. He was then a founding partner of PJA Associates, Inc., of Binghamton, NY, one of his proudest professional accomplishments. After his retirement from PJA Associates, Charles enjoyed doing puzzles, watching the Yankees, and spending time with family. Charles especially loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was very proud of their families and accomplishments. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 10am to 11am at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton. A Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
