Christine M. (Michalek) Silvernail

Christine Marie Silvernail (Michalek), born November 24, 1962, passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2026. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, girlfriend, and friend.

Christine is survived by her mother; her sister and brother; three nephews and their families; her niece and family; and her longtime boyfriend.

Chris had a deep love for photography, nature, flower gardens, and yard work. Her creativity and care inspired others and earned her countless compliments over the years.

While working at Agway, Chris enjoyed helping people choose flowers and plan their garden projects. She was known for her kindness, patience, and willingness to help others.

Chris maintained lifelong friendships that spanned decades and crossed many states, all without the use of social media — a rare and meaningful accomplishment.

May Chrissy’s final chapter be filled with beautiful landscapes, the scent of warm ocean air, weed-free flower beds, and joyful reunions with the family and friends who were waiting to welcome her home.

 A Funeral Service will be held at 4pm on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson, St. Binghamton.  The family will receive friends following the service from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
