Daniel L. Miller

  Daniel L. Miller, 70, passed away surrounded by his family on October 18, 2018.  He was predeceased by his father Thurman R. Miller and his father-in-law Richard P. Lane.  He is survived by his child bride of 48 years Barbara (Lane) Miller; son who he adored Daniel P. Miller, daughter-in-law Debra; two amazing gifted grandsons Luke and Jake who were his heroes; his mother Anna Szymanak; mother-in-law Peggy Lane; brothers Richard (Carolyn), Craig (Cathy), Larry Miller; sisters Linda King, Chrissy Miller; brothers-in-law Richard (Eileen) and Michael Lane, sisters-in-law Catherine Leonard and Maureen Lane; special friends Jeanne Fahey and Cathy Connerton.  He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.  A special thank you to the staff at Lourdes Hospital for the excellent care given to Dan during his stay.  A lifelong resident of New York State having spent most of his life in Binghamton, he was a member of St. Paul’s Church, St. Paul's Men's Club and American Legion Post 1645.  He loved attending every sporting event of his grandsons, he always put his family first.  He was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan.  Dan was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by all.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 4pm until 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am on Monday at St. Paul's Church in Binghamton.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Dan's memory.
