David L. Wilcox, Sr.

David L. Wilcox, Sr. of Binghamton, NY went to be with His Lord and Savior on October 18th surrounded by his family. David is survived by the love of his life and wife of 62 years, Janet. His children David (Stacy), Daniel and Deanna(Doug). His grandchildren Benjamin (Emily), Neal, Holly (Travis), Bryan, Hannah(Damian), Nathan and his great grandchildren Ava, Claire, Gavin, Lincoln, Ruby and Brooklyn. David was a graduate of Ithaca College. He began his career as a teacher at Brookside Elementary School and Richard T. Stank Middle School. He was also the wrestling coach at Susquehanna Valley High School throughout his teaching career. He went on to work for New York State in the Office of Mental Hygiene Legal Services, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, Binghamton, NY. David was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved spending time with family. Most of all, David had a deep love for his Savior Jesus Christ. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Baptist Church on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to organizations David was instrumental in and passionate about: Camp Bayouca, 100 Camp Spaulding Rd. Smithville Flats, NY and/or The East Side Learning Center at Grace Baptist Church, 33 Howard Ave, Binghamton NY.
