David "Brownie" Brown

David (Brownie) Brown age 75 passed away on April 29, 2025 after suffering with COPD for many years. 

Dave was a member of Local 58 Syracuse and  Local 112 Elmira Sheet Metal Workers for over 40 years. He last worked for Mechanical Testing before retiring.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 1645 Binghamton Eastside.

Dave was predeceased by his mother Jayne Benson and father Melvin Brown also his brother Melvin Jr. (Sonny).  He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Tracy and Son Chasen.  He also leaves behind his grandsons who he loved very much Owen, Ryan and Chasen along with his sisters Carol Scales and Mary Brown.  He also is survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

The family would like to thank Tom Slesinsky and Family, Matt Pello and Jeremy Hershowitz for being there for us.  A special thanks to Schneiders Market for always saving Dave his NY Post and Daily newspapers.  Dave’s wishes were to be cremated with no service or view which will be honored.

He was a kind, good man who will be greatly missed by his family.
