Deborah J. Whitney

On May 5th 2020 Debbie lost her long battle with cancer and went to be with our Lord. Debbie spent 20 years working at UHS where she became part of their family. Debbie loved spending time with her many friends and family. One of Debbie favorite places to be was at the beach. She liked fishing and taking trips. Debbie had a special love for animals. Her 3 fur babies Jetta, Marley and Shully were her heart. Debbie loved nature and taking long drives. Debbie had 23 years of being best friends with Brenda Holte. They spent many years making wonderful memories together. Brenda's family was Debbie's family. Debbie also found her life partner Elaine Evans. Even though their time together was cut short the time they did have was wonderful. Elaine was by her side when she passed.   She is predeceased by her mother Margaret Fitzgerald; father Ronald Whitney and step mother Pat Miller Whitney.  She is survived by her siblings Joe, Danielle, Denise, Heather, Franny, Luke and Tasha; nieces and nephews Dustin, Matthew, Vincente, Dylan, Nolan and Theo.  The family would like to Thank everyone at UHS General Hospital for the special care and love they showed Debbie. Debbie was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. 
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when all of Debbie's friends and family can all be together.
