Dorothy (Rauschmeier) Killeen of Binghamton, NY passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday evening, July 18th at the age of 95.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Martin F. Killeen and son & daughter-in-law Martin (Debra) Killeen. She is survived by her daughter Margaret (William) Smith, grandchildren Kari Killeen, Selena Killeen and Justin MacGregor of Binghamton and Marty Killeen of Palm Coast, Fl; sister Ileen M. Weaver of Belleville, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews of the Killeen and Rauschmeier families nationwide.
She graduated from Vestal, Class of 1941, and moved onto Binghamton’s Eastside, which would become home for the next seven decades. Dorothy worked for Perhach Pharmacy, the Electric Company, the Binghamton Paper Company, Continental Storage, and is most known for her service to Broome County as the original manager of the Arena & Forum Box Offices.
She was an avid bowler in her younger years, a member of the City’s Democratic Committee, a hockey booster, and upon retirement loved taking cruises and gaming with the ladies.
For those wishing to pay their respects, calling hours are Friday, July 23rd, Noon-2pm with a service to follow at THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton.
