Dorothy H. (Aldrich-Lewis) Weaver passed away peacefully after sweet kisses from her granddaughters on Thursday, July 18, 2025 at 101 years of age. Dorothy was born on Binghamton's North Side and has always resided on the North or East sides of Binghamton.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Sharon (Jason) Repp and Grandchildren: Jennifer (Greg) Uddo NOLA; Lindsey Wood, Camden, NC; John P. Perestam, Binghamton; Karyn (Jeremy) Palmer, Conklin; Emily Repp (William Costner) Dallas, PA and 8 great-grandchildren, one nephew Charles Aldrich, Oxford, NY.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husbands Earl Lewis and Donald Weaver; sons Edwin E. Lewis and Earl S. Lewis and grandson Alexander Repp.
Her 101 years were filled with historic events and innovations that she liked to chat about. Her life was simple and not always easy, but she persevered. She was our own Binghamton historian. Dorothy was a homemaker, assistant teacher at the Day Care Center, and the very best grandmother and great-grandmother.
Our mother/grandmother was our love, our life and our family matriarch. To say she will be missed is an understatement.
Contributions in her honor can be made to the Broome County Office of the Aging Meals on Wheels Program or the BC Humane Society.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 10am to 11am at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton. A Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Burial will be at Riverside Rural Cemetery in Kirkwood NY.
