Dr. Sid Thomas Obituary

Dr. Sid B. Thomas 85, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on February 19, 2020. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Thomas; parents Sid and Emma Thomas. He is survived by his daughter Stacia (Tom) McDonald; grandchildren Cassidy (Danielle) Thomas Barnes, Kaitlin Kelly Barnes; great-grandson Andrew Luca Barnes; sister Jeanne Fairman. Born in 1935 in West Texas, Sid relocated to New York in 1964 to accept a position of professor of Philosophy at Binghamton University, in which he taught for over 30 years. He loved horseback riding, tennis and his margaritas at the Lost Dog Café. The most important thing to Sid was his family, he will be dearly missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 22, 2020 from 4 until 6pm at the Lost Dog Café in Binghamton, NY.
