Earl S. Best

Earl S. Best, 85, passed away on June 25, 2023 surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his wife Jacqueline Best; Father Howard E. Best and mother Myra Horvath and step father Rev. William Horvath; grandparents Earl and Mary Best; and brother Howard Best. He is survived by his children Katherine (Daniel) McHugh, Jennine (Clayton) Best-Baker, George Best; grandchildren Brittney McHugh and Madison Baker; sisters Mary Elizabeth Winfield and Myra Ilona Horvath.

Earl proudly served in the US Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved animals, cars, watching wrestling, telling bad Dad jokes, going to casinos with his wife. Earl was always there to help anyone in need. His family was his greatest joy and he will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 3pm to 4:30pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton NY. A Funeral Service will follow at 4:30pm. Private burial will be in Union Cemetery, Edmeston, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Broome Humane Society or the Michael J. Fox Foundation
