Elizabeth M. Heim, 84, of Windsor, New York, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose love and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Born in Willet, New York, Elizabeth lived a full and generous life centered around her family and friends. She enjoyed playing shuffleboard and bingo, and she loved trips to the casino. Her happiest moments were spent around the table during holiday dinners with her family and enjoying time with the friends she cherished so deeply.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 33 years, Peter Heim; her parents, Louis Sr. and Mildred Tuttle; her son, Ronald Benedict; her sister, Ann Shanks; her brother, James Tuttle Sr.; and her beloved dog, Daisy Mae.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Cynthia D. Benedict; her grandchildren, Tonya Martinez, Michael Benedict, and Jeffry Nabinger; her four great-grandchildren; and her three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Hromada; her brother, Louis Tuttle Jr.; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly as well and her angels that were there when she needed them most Denise and Amy Wieber, Gail Smith and Joyce Spencer.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, and the love she gave so freely. Her joyful spirit, compassion, and the countless memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton. A Service will follow at 6pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
