Elizabeth Valloney, 95, passed away on December 25, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was a long-time resident of Kirkwood, NY and for 10 years lived on John’s Island, SC. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Ed Valloney, her daughter Annette, and her sister Helen.
Betty, as she was lovingly known, worked at McIntosh Labs in Conklin, as a deputy Town Clerk in Kirkwood, and as partner in her husband Ed’s business Artistic Interior Painting, along with several other jobs.
She was active as a servant of God anywhere she went. She was a prayer warrior since she accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She most recently served in First Christian Church of Kirkwood as treasurer and Sunday School teacher. She loved singing in the choir and also singing specials. She is survived by her sister Patricia (Lawrence) Bassett, Framingham, Mass; son Steven Valloney (Anne Schneiderman), Ithaca, NY; daughter Sandy (Dan) Wasson, Kirkwood, NY; grandchildren Joshua Wasson, Christopher Wasson, Dani Wasson, and Brittany (Mike) Sicari.
Donations in Betty’s name can be made to Christian Community Church of Conklin or Lourdes Hospice.
The family would like to publicly thank Lourdes Hospice and all the people that helped us in Betty’s time of need. You guys are great.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:30pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Christian Community Church of Conklin with a dinner to follow. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will be private in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
