Ernest A. Mauro

Ernest Anthony “Ernie” Mauro, 63, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2023. He is predeceased by his parents Ernest S. and Luigia M. Mauro (Capozzi). He is survived by son Anthony E. Mauro and his wife Hannah of Endicott, NY, daughter Tia M. Mauro of Hershey, PA, brother Michael T. Mauro and wife Jennifer of Newington, CT, several nieces and nephews, and granddogs Gracie and Macaroni. He was also blessed with many close family and friends. Ernie’s professional career as a photographer spanned over 30 plus years and enabled him to meet many people and travel all over the world. Ernie loved to play golf every chance he got. He was also part of founding the Print Shop Open golf tournament in 1984, which ran consecutively for 31 years and raised money for various charitable organizations. Ernie was an avid hunter and fisherman. But above all, he loved spending time with family and friends and took every opportunity to lend a hand or an ear to any of them.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church from 9:00am to 11:00am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, all donations will be distributed to the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. Arrangements are in the care of Albert J. DeMarco with the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc.
