Filomena (Mastronardi) Cristofari, 89, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8th, 2024, at UHS Ideal Skilled Nursing Center in Endicott, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Felicetta Mastronardi, sister Rosa Mastronardi, sister and brother-in-law Paola and Vincenzo Marconi and nephew Roby Mastronardi. She is survived by her husband of nearly 68 years, Luigi Cristofari, her children Dominic and Julie Cristofari, Patrick and Jennifer Cristofari, her beloved grandchildren, Gabriel, Adriana, and Francesca Cristofari. She is also survived by her siblings Nick (Judy) Mastronardi, Ronnie (Joanne) Mastronardi and Angelo (Jane) Mastronardi, brother and sister in laws Mario (Teresa) Cristofari and Renato (Luisa) Cristofari as well as many nieces and nephews. Filomena was born in Torrice, Italy on October 25th, 1935, and emigrated to the United States in 1958 with her husband and infant son and settled in Binghamton, NY. She was employed by Bates Troy Inc for 41 years prior to retirement. Filomena was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and was a regular fixture for many years at the pizza fritte booth at the annual bazaar. Filomena was known around the community for her fabulous baked goods and delicious meals. The family would like to thank the physicians and nursing staff at Binghamton General and Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, for their care and compassion during her many treatments over the past several months. Special thanks to the nursing staff at UHS Ideal Nursing Center Daisy Court, Dr. Eisenberg, Roshni Parikh NP, Dr. Sethi and Dr. Harris.
The family will receive friends at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC, 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Thursday, November 14th, 2024, at 10:00 AM followed by entombment at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City.
