Frank Rinaldi Obituary

Frank C. Rinaldi, 59, of Binghamton, NY, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by his loving sisters.

A 1985 graduate of Seton Catholic Central and a lifelong member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Binghamton, Frank will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and love for family. From a young age, he enjoyed watching WWE and classic Westerns. In his free time, he loved cooking—always eager to try the newest gadget—spending Saturday afternoons with his sister Fran, and going out to dinner with family.

Frank is survived by his devoted sisters, LouAnn Liner, Mary (Tom) Maher, and Frances Basti, all of the Binghamton area; his nieces and nephews, Ashley Liner, Tommy (Bethany) Maher, Tara (Nate) Hemendinger, and Kevin Maher; and his great-niece and great-nephew, Ava Maher and Chase Hemendinger.

He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Palmina (Mauro) Rinaldi; his brother-in-law, Anthony Basti; and several aunts and uncles, including a special Aunt Dee and Uncle Steve Perchinsky.

Following his heart transplant in 2011, Frank faced many health challenges but always showed remarkable strength and determination. He was overjoyed to receive a kidney transplant on October 16, 2025, but despite his courage and the excellent care he received, complications arose that he could not overcome.

Throughout his journey with dialysis, Frank was deeply grateful for the compassionate care he received from the nurses at UHS Fresenius Kidney Care. His family extends special thanks to the dedicated doctors and nurses in the Surgical ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital for their care, kindness, and support.
