Geraldine R. (Cooper) Tinder

Geraldine R. Tinder passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 8, 2025.  She is predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick) Tinder; her parents Francis and Lillian Cooper; sons Michael, James and Daniel Tinder; brother Robert (Thelma) Cooper; sister Mary Lou (Robert) Hutchings; brothers-in-law John Carolan, Philip Tinder and Joseph Fiato.

Survived by her children Rick (Joanne) Tinder, Colleen (Michael) Mondolfi, Tim (Deanne) Tinder, Karol (Jim) Liberati, Kelly McMahon; daughter-in-law Janet Tinder; 22 grandchildren who adored her, 24 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister Margaret (Peg) Carolan, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Tinder, Mary Fiato, Kim Tinder; goddaughter Amy Nedswick; numerous nieces and nephews including the Hutchings, Coopers, Carolans, Tinders and Fiatos. 

A lifetime member of Saints John & Anderw Church and was a Eucharistic Minister for many years.   Loved BINGO, the casino, never missing the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Binghamton.  She was always happy and never without a smile. Most of all loved her family and will be greatly missed by all.

A special thank you to the staff at Elizabeth Church for their care and compassion over the past several months.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Sts John and Andrew Church in Binghamton.  The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Binghamton Fire Department Benevolent Association.
