It is with great sadness that the family of Holly Lea Nixon announces her passing after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends as she was welcomed into the loving arms of the lord on September 28, 2022, at the young age of 39. Holly will be lovingly remembered by her father Michael Slater I, and stepmother Carolyn Slater. Her sisters Billie Jo St. Clair-Scott, Amy Frawley, and Sharon Slater-Bergman. Her brothers Anthony St. Clair, Michael Slater II, and Ryan Slater. As well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins that she held very dear to her heart. Holly is now reunited with her Mother Charlotte St. Clair, Uncle Robert F. Feringa Sr, Niece Felicia St. Clair, Cousins Randy Feringa II, and Jason Feringa. As Holly’s favorite nurse affectionately said, “I have never met a woman who was so stubborn, hardheaded and loving all at the same time.” This perfectly describes the person Holly was. She was a devoted Aunt to many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. From a young age Holly was feisty and full of life. She loved music, dancing, cookouts, and the newest Air Jordans. Anything that involved spending time with loved ones made her heart full. Holly was fiercely independent and hardworking, she excelled at every position she ever took on. She will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched.
A viewing for family and friends is scheduled for Saturday October 1, 2022, from 9:00 am-11:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at Thomas J.
