Irving "Catfish" (Jr.) Denny

Irving Denny Jr. went to rest in Heaven's Glory on August 25, 2022.  Irving attended Chenango Forks Central School.  He was employed by Raymond Corp, EH Titcher, Chenango Forks CSD, Univeral Instruments and Binghamton General Hospital.  Irving played on Greene Softball League where he earned the nickname "Catfish".  He went on to play with several other teams/leagues enjoying all of them.  When he wasn't playing the game he was watching his beloved New York Yankees.  In the "off season" he enjoyed bowling and of course his other NY team the Giants.  

Irving enjoyed coaching Little League and Pee Wee Football at Chenango Forks Central School as well as Umpiring Professionally for various leagues in and around Binghamton.  

Irving is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Clea Denny (Fowler); proud father of Stephanie Freer (Denny) Ted Freer, Irving (Skip) Denny III and Tammy Denny (Winston); adoring grandfather of Alexis Gates, Raymon James, Tyler Denny, Monica Denny (Morales), Austin Williams/Kayta Matthews, Lita Sager, Brock Denny; great grandfather to Theo Williams, Emma Curey, Owen Curey, Wesson James, Madeline Denny; special extended family Chuck Williams, Phil and Kelly Sager, Fur Babies Isabella and Beauregard. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton.  A Memorial Service will follow at 6pm.
