Jack L. Medovich, 92 of Binghamton passed away on April 8, 2026, after a long battle with dementia. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Dee (2018) and his brother Jim (2011). He is survived by his three children, Jack, Patti Kramer, Jill (Jeff) Knight; nine grandchildren Jacki (Jason) Higgins, Bill Kramer, Ashley (Ian) Williams, Andrew Medovich, Chelsea (Steven) Bontkowski, Danielle (Justin) Stone, Natalie Knight (Fiancé Ryan Dougherty), Rachel (Jeff) Lambright, Shannon (Troy) Temple; five great-grandchildren Jaylynn & Jordyn Higgins, Dominic & Giovanni Stone, Alina Temple, Jo Dee Lambright is due later this month. Also survived by his rescue cat Sunny; his extended family at Valley View Manor nursing home in Norwich where he resided for the last 9 ½ months.
He was a proud Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a Binghamton Firefighter retiring after 32 plus years. He was Union Treasurer serving on the Executive Board of the Local 729 for over 23 years; also 4th District Vice President for NYS PFF for 6 years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 37 Fayette St., Binghamton, NY. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery with Military Honors.
